Day #1

It was a great day overall. I enjoyed and loved it. It was not hard, and on top of that I was satisfied with my food, not hungry at all.

For breakfast I enjoyed this beautiful plate full of great and healthy foods. Egg boiled (2 points), Small pita bread (1 point), couple of slices of tomato and cucumber (0 points), some fried pepers (fried them in a pan with one table spoon of olive oil). Breakfast total = 3 points! But trust me when I say, I was satisfied, happy and full! Later as a first snack, I had an orange - 1 point!

Lunch was amazing. I grilled few chicken breast for me and hubby. We love and enjoy grilled food. It's healthy, tastes good, and perfect for our diet. This is the plate of my lunch :

I had two pita bread (whole wheat) sandwich pockets (2 points), I had one carrot (1 point), I had one grilled chicken breast sliced (3 points), some lettuce salad (0 points), few cucumber slices (0 points), few slices of onion (0 points). My lunch was total of 6 points today! I didn't have a snack because of the following reason:

Since it was a great and beautiful day, I decided to take my daughter out to our local park. I took her diaper back with me, just in case, her stroller and my dinner. The reason I took my dinner with me was because I knew that I don't want to eat anything after 6 pm, but in worse case scenerio 6.30 pm. So I opened the container and started eating while I was driving. I decided to not eat anything after 6 pm, because I'm plan on going early to bed. I created this beautiful colorful fruit salad, and put it in a plastic container.

So this is what my dinner calculation looks like: I had two apples (2 points), two peaches (2 points), 1 kiwi (1 point), 3 strawberries sliced (0 points). My lunch was total of 5 points. But honestly I loved it.

- I had 5 L of water today.
- 1 Cup of coffee (in the morning)
- 2 Cups of Green Tea
(There will be a post just about this subject)
- 1 glass of cold Arizona Diet Green Tea with a leaf of Mint, that my mother-in-law planted on my balcony. (See the picture of the glass with my cold tea & leaf of mint).

Before I finish this post I need to also share my work-out experience. I took my daughter to our local park (as mentioned before) and I put her in her stroller, and I was ready. As I was standing there I had to make up my mind and either take a right road or left. So I chose the left road. And let me tell you, I am so soar now. I walked and jogged for 30 minutes, up and down the hill. I had no clue (this area is new to me, because we just moved to this area few months ago) that this park has hills. I was sweating, she was screaming as letting me know that she was happy and enjoying it. At the end I couldn't feel my legs. I was so soar. I came home and took a shower, and now ready to enjoy my glass of cold ARizona Diet Green Tea with a leaf of Mint inside, on my balcony, while my little angel is asleep. I also have some homework to do, but that won't take more than 1 hour of my time.

Here is a picture of my biggest and most beautiful motivation there can be. This is my daughter, the love of my life! She still looks a little sick from the cold she's been having for the past few days, but still her smile makes me being capable of accomplishing just about anything!

P.S. Tomorrow I will be walking and jogging again with her, and hopefully my hubby will join us. He said he will try, so I am really hoping and looking forward to it!

Have a great night everyone,

Mademoiselle

Great 1 Point bread...

Yesterday when I was at the local grocery store to buy couple of things for our BBQ dinner with Hubby's family, I grabbed a pack of Pitettes Whole Wheat Pita bread and a bag of Sandwich Pocket (pita bread as well), both whole wheat (picture below). Without even thinking about to look at the chart on the back to see how many calories, or to calculate my points I realized 'How bad can it be? It's whole wheat! Right?' ...
Since I started my diet today I took my pita breads and decided to calculate, and see how many points is each of them... Believe it or not, they are both, 1 Point of each.

Here are the pictures posted for all my WW people, so you guys know what to look for at your local grocery stores.
My daily log is about to be uploaded!

Free WW Calculator

I was surfing online and I came across this website that made me very happy. You can download a FREE (YES- I mean FREE) Point Calculator. It's easy to use and very helpful. I've downloaded one too!

I know that out there are many people that cannot afford WW and would love to join, but at least we can help one another, like FREE WW Point Calculator and share our experiences, as well as recipes!

So far I'm having a great day. I'm enjoying my food, and honestly I feel full of energy!

Why Weight Watchers?

Some people are wondering why I chose to follow WW plan?
- It's simple!

How it all started?
- I always wanted to lose weight, after I gave birth to my healthy, happy and beautiful, baby girl on September, 2008. I've tried South Beach, and honestly it worked for two weeks. I lost 15 lbs when I first started, and was good until I lost 20, but then, we had a family dinner, and I gained it all back. That is a very simple answer to my question 'Why I gained it all back?' - I gained because it's not healthy. It does not work for me! But on the other hand, everything that doesn't work for me, doesn't mean that it won't work for someone else. Our bodies are reacting differently to different things.

My decision:
- As I was surfing online to find out more about diets and weight loss, I came across the WW diet. I started it right away. I was so thrilled and excited about it. I could eat sweets, pasta and bread (that are my weaknesses). I cannot do without sweets nor pasta. So first week I was eating constantly, was always satisfied with my food, and enjoyed it very much. I lost 4.6 lbs. I was so happy. Everyone (family and friends) found out about it. Later I stopped. Every time I go visit my family, I eat a lot, and cannot control myself. My mom always cooks a lot, and therefore if I don't grab something from the table, among all the great foods she prepared, she gets upset and thinks I don't like it. So this is how I lost control of my WW. So last night, we had my sister in law, my mother in law (who's by the way more like my own mother :D ), and the rest of our gang (family) for dinner, and somehow my sister-in-law and I started to talk about WW and other diets. We both want to lose weight. She not so much- only 20lbs, but me, I have to lose plenty! Since I was a member of WW and know how this works I will be posting my daily meals with total points, and every other food I discover that is low with points. WW seems to me that is a very healthy way of living and losing my weight. And that is something I'm looking for. I need to eat everything I love, and control my body and hunger. I need to be able to live healthy and share it with others.

My Goal:
- I have so many goals. But most importantly is to lose my weight in a healthy way and keep it off. Eating healthy would mean that I am giving a great gift to my family. Especially my child who's growing up so fast, and therefore I have to watch what she eats. We don't realize how important is our health and wellness until we are parents and have bigger priorities and responsibilities.

So, here I am at the beginning of my journey and I hope that I will motivate myself, as well as everyone else, and be able to lose the weight and keep it off. Join me to a healthier 'ME'!
